The Law Of Diminishing Intent

Video Transcript

If you’re planning some health goals, you want to get back into shape, or you want to get rid of that pain, and you’ve really got some inspiration and excitement going, I want you to use that excitement and do something about it right away, even if it’s just a baby step. There’s something called the law of diminishing intent: when we have that aspiration and excitement, we’re way up here, but the longer we wait, the intent to take action diminishes very quickly.

So, whether it’s booking something you need to do, setting your runners by the door for the next day, packing your gym bag, getting a grocery shop done as soon as you can, or prepping some meals, just get it done. Those little baby steps are going to make a huge difference in actually taking action. There’s a lot of knowledge out there about things we have to do, but bridging the gap between the knowledge we have and the action we need to take is a huge challenge for some people. It was for me for the longest time.

I hope this helps you. Let me know how it goes.
